I love the post. It makes a lot of sense that you don’t have to necessarily touch a stove to know its hot, and you don’t have had to be in several bad relationships to be an expert. I will however, bring up a point that is very rarely touched upon, and VERY MUCH missing in our relationships, especially black people, GOD. I spent the last weekend in a very, very influential Christian couples retreat that basically outlined where most people go wrong in relationships, let alone marriages is the failure to put God first.

Adam was so busy doing his work for God that GOD had to notice that Adam was lonely and thus He created a mate for him. A woman is supposed to be so deeply wrapped in God that a man has to seek Him to find her. We are supposed to love each other like Jesus loved the Church. In all of this, you take yourselves away from the bad past relationships and the inconveniences of dating in our culture today, and you find principles that have stood since the beginning of time, from the #1 best selling author of all time in all of everdom, God.

Thank you hun! yeah I mean she was comparing grown men to her teenage son and implying that women should be more like Kim Kardashian in one point yet not being a slut in the next. Most women aren’t mean around ppl they like so that goes out the window. And most women advertise when they are ready for more with men, thus not being liars. It was too many contradictions within the article to hold its credibility for me. But there is [usually] someone that is going to love you whoever you are. So you are right, there is hope!

Great piece, good point. It’s always important to consider the source before you go accepting any information as valid or relevant. I still think, although Tracy was harsh, she made some pretty good points. I can’t believe that you only agree with her on the happiness issue though!

At the end of the day though, there is someone for everyone. The insecure person might go for the “bitch” just because s/he is so accustomed to being belittled; and Lord knows there’s plenty of people out there waiting to meet “the shallow woman” because they share the same value system. “The slut” will likely end up with some enamoured soul who will devote all the time and attention to her that she needs.

There is hope lol.
